Mark Couch

Campus Pastor Emeritus/Advisor

Pastor Couch served as Campus Minister to WMU from 2001-2026. He graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis in 1995. He served previously in St. Petersburg, Florida. Pastor Mark continues to be involved in our WMU worker lunches. Pastor Mark has one son and a daughter-in-law. He enjoys sports, especially University of Tennessee Football.

Aaron Grube

Director of Campus Ministries

Aaron loves to connect with the campus community and young adults by sharing the love of Jesus. He has served as a Director of Christian Education (DCE) since 2007 and has been part of the Kalamazoo community since 2012. Aaron loves good coffee, being active and outside, his two amazing daughters, and seeing how God works each and every day. His high school mascot was a "Bronco" so if you see him wearing green instead of gold, it's just because he found his old spirit gear.

Hello, my name is Jacob Waterlander, but you can call me Jake if you wish. I am a student at Western Michigan University studying Biology, and I am one of the student leaders at Solid Grounds Student Ministries. I help coordinate and lead the discussion part of our weekly student meetings and I would love to see you there!
